TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy

Anantapur: TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy made a sensational prediction stating that the no-confidence motion placed by their party against the NDA government in Lok Sabha would fizzle out. He said it was not the right time to serve the motion since the political environment was not conducive. This was the reason for him to stay away from Parliament sessions, he said and pointed out that except for debate nothing would happen in the Parliament.

With the no-confidence motion of TDP admitted by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and coming up for discussion on Friday, TDP has issued a whip to all the party MPs to be present in Parliament tomorrow. Reacting to the party's whip, JC clarified that he was not going to Parliament. Only two or three TDP MPs would be allowed to speak during the discussion. He satirically mentioned to the media that there were better English and Hindi-speaking leaders in TDP.

TDP, which claims to be taking on the Centre head-on, appears to be unable to tackle the problems it was facing with its own MP. Though the TDP claimed that it would garner support of other parties for its no-confidence motion, it was unable to get its own MP's support.

No differences with JC: Sujana

Reacting to the statements of JC Diwakar Reddy, TDP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary said there were no differences of opinion in TDP parliamentary party. He said JC was a senior party leader, he said and expressed surprise that he had not known that JC was unhappy with the party functioning till he read it in media.

Speaking to media in New Delhi today, the former minister said that he had spoken to JC even today and that JC had told him that it was due to his brother's health condition that he was unable to attend the Parliament sessions. If there were any differences, we would sort it out within ourselves.

He said that JC was likely to attend the discussion on no-confidence motion at Lok Sabha. AP CM and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was talking to JC, he added.
