Stop Fake Protests: Anantavenkatarami Reddy To TDP

Anantapur: Former MP and YSR Congress Party leader Anantavenkatarami Reddy slammed TDP leaders for holding fake protests in the name of deekshas. He demanded to know what Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had done over the last four years while TDP was an ally of BJP.

He recalled Chandrababu's statement saying the Central government was providing everything to the state. "Did you not felicitate the BJP leaders when Special Package was announced instead of Special Category Status (SCS)?" After having accepted Special Package and not demanding the central government to fulfill all the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, it was foolish on part of the TDP leaders to now stage a sit-in protest saying NDA government had cheated the state.

Anantavenkatarami Reddy challenged the AP CM to contest the next elections with the sole agenda of achieving SCS to AP.
