Srikakulam: YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy called upon the party cadre to get ready for the bypolls in the five constituencies from which the YSRCP MPs had resigned. Speaking in YSRCP booth committee members training programme here today he said that North Andhra was under developed just because of TDP's policies and negligence. The YSRCP MP participated in the programme along with senior party leader Dharmana Prasad Rao.
Vijayasai Reddy asked why Vamsadhara phase 2 works have not started in the last four years. The TDP leaders were concentrating on commissions while conveniently forgetting about projects. He remarked that Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh have siphoned off Rs 3 lakh crores. "Unfortunately, they are still not happy. They are greedy and want more. This was the reason they were looting the state," he said and called upon the YSRCP workers to get ready for by-elections.
Speaking at the same event, Dharmana said that there was no accountability for the implementation of welfare schemes in TDP's rule. He said the Srikakulam TDP MLA failed to provide housing to victims of Hud Hud hurricane. A huge scam was brewing in the housing scheme and to cover up the scam, the TDP was not allotting houses to the poor, he added.
