Anchor Pradeep Attends Counseling; To Appear In Court Tomorrow 

Hyderabad: Popular Telugu TV anchor Pradeep Machiraju on Monday attended a counseling session at Goshamahal police offices complex.

It may be recalled that Pradeep was caught driving drunk the morning after the New Year Eve party. His car was seized and a case of drunk driving was booked against him. He was supposed to attend a counseling session the next day, but Pradeep avoided it for a while. He went absconding after the incident.

Later Pradeep released a video stating he was busy with his pre-scheduled shoots and some other personal commitments and will attend the counseling session as a law-abiding citizen. He also admitted that drunk driving was a mistake on his part.

The accused in drunk driving cases are supposed to attend counseling along with family members. In Pradeep's case, he brought his father to the session though there were rumors that his mother will accompany him.

Pradeep will have to attend court on Tuesday. The anchor was found having 178/mg/100ml Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) when he was caught. As the level was much higher than the permissible 30 BAC, the court is likely to award the anchor imprisonment up to seven days.
