Amma vodi scheme to be started when Jagan comes to power

YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister Sharmila alleged that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was responsible for the present power crisis in the state.

Addressing a large gathering at Rangapuram of Kurnool District where she started the 29th day of her ongoing ‘Maro Praja Prastanam' Padayatra on Thursday, Sharmila assured the people on behalf of her brother YS Jagan that he will implement the scheme of 'Amma Vodi'  which will provide money for two children from every family for education, if Jagan comes to power. He would implement this scheme for enabling children go to school.  Under this scheme, cash will be deposited in the account of the mother at the rate of Rs 500 for children up to 10th standard, Rs 700 for intermediate and Rs 1000  for degree students, she said.

Expressing her anger over the neglect of welfare of farmers, Sharmila alleged that the Central government has constructed 45 lakh houses in India but late YS Rajasekhara Reddy had constructed 20 lakh houses only in Andhra Pradesh itself. She also assured that Jagan will construct houses for all the shelter less .
