American Gay Couple Expose Bare Butts At Bangkok Temple, Arrested
Two US tourists who happened to be a gay couple were arrested by the immigration police at Don Mueang airport following a warran issued against them for inappropriate behavior at Wat Arun in Bangkok.
The duo was seen exposing their buttocks at the famous Temple of Dawn. The gay couple were reprimanded at the airport when they were trying to leave the country. The two have been identified as Travis and Joseph aged 38.
It is learned that the gay couple plead guilty to exposing their bare buttocks at the temple for a photoshoot. They were later taken to the Yai Police station in Bangkok for further questioning and action. the duo has been charged with getting naked in public. The offence invites a fine of up to 5000 baht.
Pol Col Choengron Rimpadee, deputy spokesman of immigration police, said: "Tourists should have respect for places of cultural, historical and religious importance because it is simple good manners."
