Ameerpet Road Closed, Commuters In For Traffic Woes

Hyderabad: With the road at SR Nagar junction closed for the commuters proceeding from Kukatpally and Sanath Nagar towards Ameerpet on Friday, vehicular traffic almost came to a standstill right from the morning.

As the stretch between SR Nagar and Ameerpet is one of the most crucial parts for traffic movement in the city, the SR Nagar road via which the traffic is being diverted is insufficient to take the load and as a result the movement became dead slow even before the business hours. For those driving own cars and even riding their bikes, the drive between SR Nagar and Ameerpet via Gurdwara road is taking a long time.

Thousands of vehicles including RTC buses, cars and bikes move on this stretch as this is the main connect between Kukatpally and the city center.

People who are already facing traffic problems at various places in the city due to Metro rail works are cursing their fate with this new diversion. No one knows how long the road will remain closed. Only solution is to plan your commute much early until the road opens.
