Ambati Rambabu Says Every Kapu is Behind Mudragada Padmanabham

Hyderabad: Ambati Rambabu, the official spokesperson at YSRCP, said every Kapu is supporting Mudragada Padmanabham and backing his agitation to get OBC status to the community.

Ambati along with Mudragada Padmanabham and other community leaders on Tuesday held discussions here at the residence of popular film director Dasari Narayana Rao.

While applauding Mudragada’s hunger strike for 14 days, Ambati criticized Chandrababu Naidu’s government for suppressing his agitation.

“Earlier, the state government has assured us that Kapus would be included in the list of BCs by September 7. We’ll wait till that. We have also discussed on what should be done after the deadline as well. This meeting was convened to extend our support to Mudragada on agitation to get OBC status. Mudragada is not alone, we’re all supporting him. Every Kapu is behind him. Entire Kapu community is backing him.”

Responding to a question on whether Pawan Kalyan would be with them, Ambati said: “It’s better to ask him (Pawan Kalyan) whether he’s going to join us or not.”

Ambati further said that the meeting discussed on a counter-strategy to Chandrababu Naidu in case the Chief Minister resorts to weaken the Kapu agitation.
