Amaravati : It is going to be a tough time for many current TDP legislators, veterans and newbies. Already many of them are busy hunting for a safe seat. As the polls are getting closer, key members from the cabinet are moving to what they presume, are safer zones, as per sources.

P. Narayana who runs a string of educational institutions and is seen as Chandrababu Naidu’s man Friday, is reportedly among those looking for a safe seat. The chances of him contesting from the Nellore city constituency are high. He will be up against a formidable YSRCP opponent with Congress pretty much out of the frame. Prior to this, Narayana is said to have considered Tirupati in Chittoor district but apparently the fear of defeat seems to made him change his mind. He finally appears to have zeroed in on Nellore city. Since the time he has become a minister he is playing a role in Nellore politics.

IT minister Nara Lokesh son of Chief Minister Chandrababu wants to take the plunge into electoral politics. There has been widespread criticism of Lokesh saying that he gained backdoor access to ministership, fearing a defeat in the elections. He seems to be on a desperate hunt for a safe constituency to contest. Reportedly, his initial choice was Penamaluru in the Krishna district but later he backed off. The search for a safe constituency is still on. Among the seats is said to be Hindupur from where his father in law and uncle, actor turned politician Balakrishna is the current legislator. There is news that he might even contest from his father's current constituency Kuppam or even Chandragiri. The anti-incumbency factor is so powerful that no seat appears safe to the heavyweights of TDP.

Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao, who is the sitting MLA of Mylavaram is said to be looking out for a change of constituency. With anti-incumbency on the rise by the day, his chances of winning are bleak, it is said. Nuzvid seems to be his focus interest in the upcoming elections, though may find himself on a sticky wicket. It is believed that his unpopularity is such that own cadre is unsatisfied with his performance.

Ganta Sreenivasa Rao the TDP legislator from Visakhapatnam district might not contest from Bhimili this time. Ministers Atchan Naidu, Adi Narayana Reddy, Pratipati Pulla Rao are also likely to lose in the assembly polls. It is said that Chandrababu is thinking of putting them up for Lok Sabha seats instead, which has reportedly left many of them squirming.
