Hyderabad: Popular Telugu film producer Allu Aravind criticised controversial director Ram Gopal Varma calling him a cheap human being. Allu Aravind was responding recent controversies that have rattled Tollywood and expressed his displeasure over the same. Speaking to the media at Film Chamber here today, he said that as a senior member of the Mega family he had tolerated all these days, but with murky episodes unfolding by the day he had called a press meet.

Aravind said that the film industry had taken Sri Reddy's accusations in the right spirit and was setting up a redressal committee. The committee would comprise people from the industry as well as women and NGOs, he said and added that if anyone was found guilty necessary action would be initiated.

"For three generations, we have been making our livelihood in this industry. But unfortunately few are making unfair accusations against us. I am talking about Ram Gopal Varma. He is a cheap character. It is unfortunate that he is talking about his own industry in this manner. He himself has confessed that he was the person behind Sri Reddy to abuse Pawan Kalyan. He understood his name would be out very soon, so immediately he released the video," he said.

The producer said that the entire industry was not happy with these developments. Moreover, Varma had mentioned that he had planned to give Sri Reddy Rs 5 crores through producer Suresh's family, he said and added that he had immediately called Suresh who denied the accusations. Aravind accused that Varma's cheap tricks and dirty mind was out in the public moreover he had tried to take revenge on Pawan Kalyan through Sri Reddy.
