All Is Not Well In Vijayawada TDP

The TDP politics in Bezwada are hotting up. Discontent and disquiet are dogging the TDP in Vijayawada, the de jure seat of power.

TDP MP from Vijayawada Kesineni Nani has already raised a banner of revolt against Chandrababu Naidu. Ever since his faceoff with the RTA officials, the distance between this travel services baron and Chandrababu Naidu is growing. On Friday, he announced that he would not run his bus services in Telugu states. Also, he has been keeping away from party activities in Vijayawada.

Bonda Uma, the spitfire MLA from the city too is upset over not being made a minister. He too has been keeping a low profile.

To add fuel to fire, there is a concerted social media campaign that Chandrababu's daughter in law Brahmani would be fielded as the party's MP candidate. In another development, former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal had met the Chief Minister on Friday night. This meeting is being seen as a significant pointer that Chandrababu is looking at other options if Kesineni Nani does not fall in line. Nani is upset that his rival Rajagopal is being wooed by Chandrababu.

On the whole, confusion reigns supreme in the Vijayawada unit of the TDP.
