Vijayawada: All arrangements are made for the conduct of Group 2 Services main exam on August 6 and 7, said APPSC chairman Uday Bhaskar here on Friday.

Speaking to media persons, the APPSC chairman said the main exam will be held in the centres located in Prakasam, Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur including Hyderabad-1 on August 6.

On August 7, the exam will be held in Vizianagaram, East Godavari, Nellore, Kurnool including Hyderabad-2.

Chairman Uday Bhaskar urged the candidates to carry their photo-identity cards before taking the exam.

Rubbishing the reports on the leakage of question papers of the main exam, the APPSC chairman appealed to the candidates not believe in such news reports.

The APPSC has conducted the preliminary exam for Group 3 services (panchayat secretary) on April 23.

Nearly 50,000 candidates have qualified out of 4 lakh candidates who had appeared for the examinations.

The exam was held in 1,430 centres in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Now the main exam will be held in 13 centres and Hyderabad is also included in it.

The candidates qualified for the mains can download the hall ticket from psc.ap.gov.in website.

Cell phones, calculators and any other gadgets, handbags and writing pads are strictly not allowed inside the exam halls, said the APPSC chairman. He said that the candidates have to make their own arrangements outside the centre to secure belongings.
