Ahead of IPL match, GHMC threatens to seize Uppal stadium

The GHMC authorities seem to believe in the the dictum 'hit the iron while it is hot.'

They decided to crackdown on the Uppal Cricket Stadium for not paying taxes to a tune of RS 12 crore. They chose to seize the cricket stadium ahead of the next IPL match scheduled for May 11.
The authorities claimed that they had given several noticies to the Uppal stadium authorities, but the latter paid no heed. So the authorities decided to seize the stadium within half-hour.
