Sri Reddy has been grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons. After the #metoo campaign gained momentum in Hollywood and every other top actress came out in the open saying she too was a victim of sexual harssment in the film industry, a small time actress from Tollywood, Sri Reddy opened a pandora's box after she claimed that the casting couch did exist in the Telugu film industry too. She further claimed that she had been a victim in this regard.

Sri Reddy did not stop at that. She even took the name of several actresses. This enraged other stars in the industry. Sri Reddy said that most actresses who reached the top had compromised their self respect and dignity to get there. Actors like Anasuya and Rakul Preet, among others, strongly refuted her claims saying she was speaking nonsense.

Later Sri Reddy hit out at a top Telugu star demanding to know why she couldn't be a choice to play heroine opposite him in his films. Next, she put out a puzzle targetting Fidaa director Shekar Kammula, who retorted by saying he would take recourse to legal action against her. Then she even went on to issue an open statement to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao saying she would strip if he didn't intervene to resolve the issue.

After her warning failed to yield any response, Sri Reddy went topless and staged a protest near the Film Chambers' office in Hyderabad. It was then that she drew the attention of not just national media channels, but also international publications like New York Times.

Yesterday, to a national media channel Sri Reddy said that a top producer's son had exploited her physically promising her roles. But he dumped her after 'using' her. This created a furore in the industry circles. Even as the chinese whispers got louder, a TV channel telecast intimate pictures of Sri Reddy with a Telugu producer's son.
