After drunken revelry, techie falls to his death in Hyd

A 29-year old software engineer succumbed to injuries after accidentally falling off a terrace of a hostel at Madhapur in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to reports, Sanu Thakur, resident of Sainikpuri and Dell employee, went to his colleague Abhishek’s room at Meghna men’s hostel for a weekend party and consumed alcohol till midnight.

After drinking for a while, Thakur went to the terrace alone, with some beer bottles.When he didn't return for a long time, his friends stepped out to search for him, and found him lying in a pool of blood in front of the hostel building.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

A case was registered under 174 (Suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
