Action against Umesh Kumar likely

Senior IAS Officer Umesh Kumar’s credentials are now under scanner. The Home Department is planning to initiate action against the senior police officer under forgery and other issues. He is accused of violating the police manual.

Sources in the Home Department in Hyderabad said today that the CID Additional Director General of Police has been asked to submit a detailed report on how Umesh resorted to forgery and wrote to the UPSC against the present DGP Dinesh Reddy.
Also, the senior IPS officer is reportedly involved in a land case which too is being probed. Action against Umesh will be initiated once the report from the CID is received, the sources said adding that the report may reach them ‘very soon.’
