ACB Raids: Properties Worth Rs40 Crore Unearthed At Nellore RTO House
Guntur: Remember Bharatiyudu killing his own son for being a corrupt RTA official? Here's a real life RTO who amassed such huge wealth that shocked the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths who raided his houses at several places on Monday.
Nellore RTA Purnachandra Rao was found owning valuable plots at 10 different places when the raids were conducted on his houses in Guntur, Vijayawada, Vinukonda, Nandigama, Addanki, Chirala and Hyderabad. Cash bundles worth Rs20 lakh, 1kg gold ornaments, 60kg of silver items, and several other valuable documents were seized.
The value of the properties found in his possession is Rs6 crore officially, but they are worth Rs40 crore in the open market. The raids were conducted under the supervision of ACB DSP Shanti. The raids were planned for four months after receiving several complaints against Purnachandra Rao.
