In a brazen act, a former town surveyor of Vizag locked himself inside his room and let loose his dogs on the sleuths of Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) when they came to raid his premises in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The ACB sleuths had to run for their lives. The incident occurred in Vizag on Saturday.

The ACB sleuths conducted simultaneous raids of former surveyor of Vizianagaram Gedela Lakshmi Ganeswara Rao's assets in 17 places located in Hyderbad, Vizag, Vizianagaram, East and West Godavari districts. His friends and relatives are also being raided. There were widespread allegations of corruption and bribery against Lakshmi Ganeswara Rao and he has since been removed from service.

As the ACB sleuths entered his house, Ganeswara Rao locked himself inside his house and let his dogs loose on the sleuths. The ACB officials could enter the house only with the help of the police. The main door of his house had to be broken to enable the ACB officials to gain entry into his house.
