Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has finally joined the photo-sharing site Instagram a day ahead of his birthday. Within hours after his Instagram debut, the actor's followers rose to 221k. Aamir has not yet shared any post as of now. But his fans are speculating that the actor might share a post today on his birthday. There was a buzz that Aamir would put a picture of his mother as profile picture, but the actor updated it with his Thugs of Hindostan look.

Aamir, who has a great fan following in other social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, has joined Instagram for his fans in China, Japan and Russia. The Dangal star has 23 million followers on Twitter while it is 15 million on his Facebook account.

In the year 2014, Aamir Khan's Instagram debut had gone viral. But later, the actor took to his Twitter to clear the air about him being on Instagram.

Aamir movies like Dangal, PK, 3 Idiots and Taare Zameen Par have bagged the actor many awards for his experimental scripts.

The actor is currently shooting for his next Thugs of Hindostan at Meharangarh Fort in Jodhpur. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bacchan is also playing a key role in the movie.
