Chennai: In an incident that has all the trappings of a Hollywood heist, a Chennai-bound train carrying a consignment of soiled notes worth over Rs 300 crores was robbed during Monday night in Tamil Nadu.

Carrying a consignment of Rs 342 crore kept in 226 boxes, the Salem Express left Salem on Monday night. Covering a distance of 350 km, Salem Express reached Chennai on Tuesday morning at 3.55 am.
