Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that it was once again evident that Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was not concerned about the state and its people. He said that yesterday's hunger strike had clearly proved this point. Speaking to the media here today, Ambati pointed out that for AP CM, A stood for Andhra Jyothi and E for Eenadu.

Talking about the consequences of Chandrababu's fast, Ambati questioned whether it was fair to spend government money to the tune of Rs 30 crores for the CM's fast. He said that Chandrababu had announced that RTC had faced losses of Rs 21 crore on the day of the bandh. "He engaged 1000 buses for his fasting programme? Wouldn't RTC now face any losses?"

The YSRCP spokesperson said such acts prove that the AP CM was only concerned about personal gain and not about the state. He said no political party came in support of his hunger strike because they knew it was not a sincere effort and demanded that Chandrababu apologise to the five crore people in the state.

Ambati Rambabu alleged that Chandrababu did not make any concrete requests for fulfilling the promises made in the AP Bifurcation Act nor did he ever demand Special Category Status to AP earlier. Moreover, he says that something might happen after Karnataka elections and wondered it was that the TDP chief was hinting at. He said that the TDP chief seems to be inclined towards the BJP. He questioned the motive of the TDP leadership behind appointing BJP's Swapna of Maharashtra as TTD member.

The YSRCP spokesperson took the opportunity to criticise TDP MLA and actor Balakrishna and described him as an unusual person. He said he would not like to comment on the statements made by Balakrishna about the Prime Minister. He added that in tomorrow's YSRCP meeting some important decisions are likely to be announced.
