8 year-old sexually assaulted repeatedly by 50 year-old

Hyderabad: A middle-aged man was on Friday arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl at Fathedarwaza area here, police said.

Accused Mohd Siraj, 50, a worker, who is a neighbour of the minor girl used to lure her on pretext of giving money and chocolates and repeatedly sexually assault her, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Charminar Division) K Ashok Chakravarthy said.

The accused sexually assaulted her thrice in the past 10-days, the ACP said based on a complaint lodged by the victim's mother. The victim narrated the events to her mother. Subsequently, her mother lodged a complaint in this regard at Hussaini Alam police station following which a case under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act was registered. The girl was medically examined by doctors at Government hospital here and medical reports proved that the accused has committed sexual assault on the minor; police said adding during course of investigation the accused was arrested on Friday.
