7 'T' Congress MPs send resignations to Sonia

Seven Telangana Congress MPs resigned from the party to put pressure on the Centre for the creation of a separate Telangana state.

Taking to reporters in Hyderabad, MP Rajaiah said that they sent in their resignation letters to party chief Sonia Gandhi's office.

He is supposed to have told the Congress High Command to either declare Telangana a separate state or accept their resignations.

The MP made it clear that till the resignations are accepted, they would continue in the party. He also ridiculed the rumors that Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra is behind their resignations.

The MPs met at Kesava Rao's house on Thursday morning to explain their reasons for their resignation.
