6-yr-old swept away into drain

A six-year-old getting washed away in a drain has shocked Vizag city. The baby, identified as Aditi was swept away while she was trying to get into a car after completing her tuition. The girl did not realize that there was a drain closeby due to heavy water-logging caused by incessant rains.

Aditi’s parents are software engineers working in Bangalore and the baby was with her grandparent CH Ramana Murthy. The incident, which occurred on Thursday night, sparked furious search operations by special teams. The incident happened near Seetammadhara. AP Minister Narayana directed the officials to constitute special search teams to locate the girl.
