10 killed, 24 injured in two seperate accidents in AP

In the first accident, at least five persons, including two women, of a marriage party were killed and 15 others injured when their tractor-trolley overturned at Sattenapalli town near here this morning, police said.

The mishap occurred at Sattenapalli, around 40 kms from Guntur, when the tractor driver, in a bid to avoid collision with a truck lost control of his vehicle.

The injured were admitted to Sattenapalli government hospital while those seriously wounded were rushed to the Government General Hospital at Guntur.The victims were proceeding to attend the wedding, scheduled at Sattenapalli this afternoon.

In another incident, five persons were killed and more than nine injured when the auto in which they were travelling collided head on with a tipper on the Yanam road in Kakinada district on  Sunday.

As per the reports, Five persons have died on the spot and the other injured have rushed to the government hospital in Kakinada. Out of six injured, four said to be critical.

Meanwhile, the relatives alleged that the Yanam road has become frequent accident spot but nobody cares about it.
