4-yr-old girl raped on school campus 

Bhubaneswar: A four-year-old girl was raped allegedly by the driver of her school van who lured her while she was playing on the campus at Gangapada area here.

Police said today the driver lured away the child to the school toilet yesterday and raped her there. The incident came to the light when the girl returned to home and informed her mother about the it.

“We have arrested the driver after the girl identified him. A case has been registered at the Mahila Police Station here,” commissioner of police Y B Khurania told reporters.

The medical examination of both the victim and the accused have been done, he added.

The matter comes to light even as the state government faces criticism over an incident in which a tribal man had to carry the body of his wife for over 10 km after allegedly being denied a vehicle by the hospital authorities in Kalahandi district.
