About 4 lakh people signed up for YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) membership on the first day of ‘YSR Kutumbam’ on Monday.

Hyderabad: About 4 lakh people signed up for YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) membership on the first day of 'YSR Kutumbam' on Monday.

YSRCP MLAs Kalavathi, Adimulapu Suresh and Narayana Swamy said that the enrollment drive of the party received a tremendous response from the people. The MLAs said that those unable to enroll with the party workers can opt for online registration on the website www.ysrkutumbam.com.

As part of the 'YSR Kutumbam' programme, each leader and cadre of YSRCP will visit two houses per day in the vicinity of every polling booth and highlight the welfare programmes launched by late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. The programme is expected to continue till October 2. Alternatively, people can also give a missed call to 9121091210. YSRCP cadre manning the number will call them back to help them register for the party membership.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP MLAs said that Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is synonymous with copying other parties programmes and exploitation of the media for political gains. In the latest instance, the CM launched 'Inti Intiki TDP' programme by copying the YSRCP's 'YSR Kutumbam' campaign. Earlier too, the ruling party launched Chaitanya Yatras soon after the YSR Congress took up 'Gadapa Gadapaku YSR Congress.'

Chandrababu Naidu's government was already exposed for copying the Telangana state government's website on 'Ease Of Doing Business' recently. The state government stole the information from Telangana website and posted the same on AP website which brought disrepute to Andhra at the national level.
