Hyderabad: In a swift twist of events, actor Prudviraj's wife who filed a cheating and domestic violence case against her husband changed her mind and now wants to withdraw the case.

Earlier, she filed a complaint against Prudhviraj on Sunday alleging domestic harassment and cheating.

K. Kavitha told the Banjara Hills police that the actor started an illicit affair with one Padma and is not allowing her to enter the house. She alleged that the actor has taken Rs 2 lakh cash and gold from her.

Kavitha, a native of East Godavari said that she was introduced to Prudhviraj through one Anil who is her sister’s friend in 2010

“When I questioned him about the illegal affair, he said that he would do as he pleased," she said in her complaint.

Later she stared working in Prudhviraj’s office, adding that the comedian knowing that she is a divorcee accepted her with her two kids. They got married in a temple and were living together in a house at Road Number 10, Banjara Hills.

However, barely in 24 hours, Kavitha submitted a petition to withdraw the case, according to Banjara Hills SI K. Krishnaiah.

“Her petition was submitted in court. Based on the court’s directions, we will proceed,” said Krishnaiah.

A case under Sections 420 for cheating and 498A for harassment has been registered.
