3 Of Family Killed After Brick Factory Chimney Collapses

Chittoor: Three workers were killed when a chimney of a brick kiln collapsed in the town on Wednesday.

The incident occurred near V. Kota in Chittoor district when a couple along with their grandson slept in the factory. According to the police, the victims identified as Sukur Sab and Fathima were working in the factory along with their daughter-in-law Ayesha. Ayesha went to her relative's house on Tuesday evening leaving her son with their in-laws.

The chimney collapsed at around 3.30am killing all the three on the spot. The incident came to light when Ayesha went to the factory in the morning.

The police suspected that heavy rains might be the reason for the chimney collapse.
