3 civil engineering students drown

Tragedy struck an engineering college in Krishna district as three of its students drowned to death at Madduru village under Kankipadu mandal in the district on Tuesday.

The deceased are Jonnalagadda Rajesh (Nidamanuru), Bhukyalal Babunaik (Tadigadapa) and Vemuri Srikanth (Kanudukuru). They were studying engineering fourth year in VR Siddartha Engineering College and all were in their 20s. 

A group of students visited Krishna river as part of their civil engineering work.
According to police, the three students fell into the pits dug for sand quarrying.
The locals jumped into the water, but could not rescue them.
Police along with locals help retrieved two bodies and search is continuing for Srikanth's body.
