24,340 houses to be built in East Godavari district: Dy.CM

Rajahmundry: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Nimakayala Chinarajappa on Wednesday said 24,340 houses will be constructed in urban areas of East Godavari district at the expense of Rs 560 crore under the `Housing For All' scheme.
Chinarajappa was speaking after attending a workshop on housing at the collector's office at Kakinada.
The scheme would be implemented with Central assistance, he said, adding that each house would cost Rs 5.50 lakh to build.
