19-Year-Old Girl Sets Self Ablaze Inside Siva Temple

In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old girl immolated herself right inside the sanctum sanctorum of a temple of Lord Siva in Bada Bhimgal village of Bhimgal mandal in Nizamabad on Saturday afternoon. The incident sent shockwaves in the village.

According to information, Rajamani (19) came to the temple on Saturday afternoon, doused herself in kerosene and then set self on fire. Those in the temple rushed to put out the fire and shifted her to a hospital. She has suffered 80 per cent burns and her condition is stated to be critical.

Sources said Rajamani's parents have passed away several years ago and she has been staying with her maternal uncle. The reasons for the extreme act are not known.
