17 persons bound over in Cyberabad for unlawful activities

Cyberabad Police today bound over 17 persons, including three students, in two separate cases for one year for allegedly indulging in unlawful activities and creating law and order problem.

With a view to prevent commission of offences, involving breach of peace or disturbance to public tranquility, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, as Additional District Magistrate conducted court at Commissioner's office and implemented section 107 of CrPC (security for keeping the peace in other cases) proceedings for the first time in the Cyberabad Commissionerate area.
The Cyberabad police chief initiated inquiry in both cases and issued show cause notices to all 17 persons to be bound over for one year and to execute bonds for Rs 25,000 (for each person) in order to keep peace and public tranquility and settle their disputes, according to a release.
 In the first case, six persons of two groups, including three students, were accused of frequently indulging in unlawful activities and interfering each other in petty disputes and creating law and order problem in the area.  In another case, 11 persons were accused of frequently indulging in unlawful activities and creating law and order problem in the area in the dispute of boundary between two communities regarding religious places. There is a possibility of rising of issue again by the both communities due to unsettling the issue and there may be likelihood of causing communal disharmony on the same issue, the release said adding 107 CrPC proceedings are very useful tool available with executive magistrates to reign in warring groups who continuously indulge in acts, which disturb public peace
