16-Year-Old Nurse Raped By Old Age Home Supervisor  

Hyderabad: A 16-year-old girl was raped by the supervisor of an old age home at LB Nagar on Tuesday.

LB Nagar ACP P Venugopal Rao said that the accused Ganesh (25) who works as a supervisor at Ramakrishna Old Age Home raped the girl with the help of his co-workers - Subbaiah and Venkatesh. Later, they also attempted to molest the girl.

The police official said that Ganesh has been arrested while a manhunt has been launched to arrest Subbaiah and Venkatesh

Although, the girl informed about the assault to the old age home organizer Srinivas he didn’t pay heed. The girl’s family after knowing about the incident lodged a complaint on Wednesday.

A case under section 376 of the IPC, section 3 of the POCSO Act and SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has been filed against Ganesh. Subbaiah and Venkatesh. Srinivas is charged with SC & ST Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.

The police official said that Ganesh has been arrested while a manhunt has been launched to arrest Subbaiah and Venkatesh.
