16 TRS, 3 BJP MLAs suspended for 2 days from AP assembly

TRS and BJP MLAs were suspended for two days on Monday from the AP assembly for not letting the Assembly sessions go on peacefully.

The House adopted a resolution moved by finance minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy to suspend the 16 TRS, three BJP members and Nagam Janardhan Reddy for two days.

They were suspended for the next two days.

As soon as the House assembled, TRS and BJP MLAs trooped to the well of the House and raised slogans demanding that the Assembly pass a resolution favouring formation of separate Telangana state following which the proceedings were adjourned for half an hour. The noisy scenes continued amid repeated requests from the Speaker to end the chaos. Amid the chaos, the Finance minister said the TRS and BJP MLAs must be removed from the House, and the Speaker following accepted the proposal.

Further details are awaited.
