15 TRS MLAs suspended from Assembly

As many as 15 members belonging to TRS were suspended on Monday when they tried to disrupt the proceedings in Assembly on Monday.

The TRS MLAs surrounded the podium demanding resolution in the Assembly on the separate statehood for Telangana. They raised slogans disrupting the Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy’s budget speech. Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the Assembly till 10 am and the TRS did not give up its agitation even after it resumed. As the repeated requests for maintaining calm proved futile, the Speaker asked R&B Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao to move a motion to suspend the protesting members. Since, the motion was carried out by voice vote the TRS members were suspended from the House for a day. 

Assembly adjourned to Mar 20

Meanwhile, the Assembly was adjourned to March 20 after Finance Minister Ramnarayana Reddy replied to the questions from the members on the budget. The Council was also adjourned to Wednesday.
