Bhopal: As many as 15 people have been arrested on Tuesday for celebrating Pakistan's victory in Champions Trophy final. All the 15 were slapped with sedition charges. The incident occurred in Mohad town, 24 kms away from Capital city Bhopal, in Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
Following a complaint from one Subhash, police arrested the youngsters for raising slogans supporting Pakistan. It is learnt that the revelers also burst crackers soon after the Pakistan team thrashed defending champions India in the final match on Sunday. The accused will soon be produced before the court, a police official said.
A day after Kashmir Muslims chanted pro-Pakistan slogans following India's defeat in England, Muslim-majority localities in west-Kural in Mumbai, Old City in Hyderabad, Loni in Gaziabad, south Bengaluru cities in the country too celebrated Pakistan's victory.
