15.22 percent polling registered in municipal elections at 10 am

About 15.22 percent polling was registered in the municipal elections by 10 am on Sunday.

The figure is highest in Nellore district. About 18.2 percent of polling was recorded in the district. About 10 percent of polling was registered in Kurnool  district, which is lowest in the state.

State election commissioner Ramakanth Reddy informed the figures to the media.

He said that the polling was peaceful till 10 am.

He said that they had taken several precautions for proper functioning of EVMs across the state.
