12-Day Krishna Pushkarams Conclude in Telangana
Hyderabad: Special ‘harathi’ was offered on Tuesday at Beechupalli ghat in Mahbubnagar district to mark the end of 12-day Krishna Pushkarams.
Endowments minister A. Indrakaran Reddy along with ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Dr. C. Laxma Reddy performed the harathi to river goddess.
The state government said that the 12-day river fest held once in 12 years witnessed 2.5 crore pilgrims taking the holy dip in Telangana
90 bathing ghats were set up by the government for pilgrims in Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar. To facilitate smooth functioning of the river festival medical camps and other facilities were organized.
The state government said that the 12-day river fest held once in 12 years witnessed 2.5 crore pilgrims taking the holy dip in Telangana. The officials said that ghats and temples in Mahbubnagar were visited by 1.8 crore pilgrims, while 70 lakh pilgrims visited in Nalgonda.
