1 Killed, 8 Injured As Van Rams Into House

Vijayawada: A DCM van created havoc killing one person on the spot and injuring eight others by ramming straight into a house after hitting a tree in the wee hours on Friday. The deceased was traveling in the van while those sleeping in the house sustained serious injuries.
The van was heading towards Gorrela Santha in Gannavaram from Yalamanchili in Vishakapatnam district. SK Subani along with a driver were going to Gannavaram to buy sheep. The van driver lost control and hit a tree and then rammed into a house on the roadside. Subani died on the spot and those sleeping in the house were injured.
The locals shifted the injured to a hospital. Police are inquiring into the accident.
