Second Wife’s Kin Attack First Wife, Relatives Over Man’s Death

Siricilla: Tension prevailed at a Tribal hamlet - Manala Addaboru Thanda in Rudrangi mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district when a group of people clashed over a murder case on Saturday.

According to the police, one Gogulothu Raju had got married to Manjula from Rudrangi mandal 12 years ago. Since the couple didn''t have children, Raju recently married another woman with consent of his first wife.

However both Manjula and Raju's second wife began quarreling over petty issues. This has become a cause for worry for Raju. Meanwhile, Raju suddenly went missing 14 days ago. Worried over his going missing, Raju's second wife and relatives lodged a complaint with the police.

Growing suspicious over Manjula, the police called her to the police station and interrogated her. Breaking down during the questioning, she confessed that she had killed her husband Raju. Knowing the news, relatives of the second wife attacked Manjula at the police station. This led to chaotic situation at the police station. Meanwhile, the police used force to bring the situation under control. Injured persons have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
