Actor, Director Held In Heroine Molestation Case

Vijayawada: In the rape attempt of an upcoming Tollywood actress in Bhimavaram, the Patamata police on Friday arrested actor Srujan and director Puvvala Chalapathi for sexual assault on the actress.

Based on the complaint lodged by the actress on August 15, the Additional Chief Metropolitan magistrate of Vijayawada Indira Priyadarshini ordered the arrest of the accused. According to the victim, the accused molested her on their way to Bheemavaram for a film shoot in a car. The actress however escaped from them when the car they were in rammed into a lorry.

The accused actor hails from Vegiwada in Eluru and the director Chalapathi belongs to Kavali in Nellore.
